Amid the ongoing tension between the state government and the Governor, speaker Biman Banerjee has announced today that he is calling a special session of Assembly from tomorrow. Before this, a special meeting of the Business Advisory will be conducted.
Speaking on the matter, Biman Banerjee asserted that a speaker has the power to call a session in the Assembly. Meanwhile, two newly-elected Trinamool MLAs are sitting on dharna over their oath ceremony.
Baranagar MLA Sayantika Bandyopadhyay and Bhagabangola legislator Rayat Hossain Sarkar are demanding that their oath should be administered in the Assembly House and not at the Raj Bhawan.
